Introducing MARGOT

I have not posted in months. Thank you to all the people that encouraged me to keep posting! Yes. My main internet-time-sucking focus has been obsessively pouring over wedding visions and travel spots. I will post my findings. I have a long overdue introduction to make, our newest family member. I rescued Margot from the North Central L.A. shelter, she was in there for a month, red-listed, separated from her kittens, and so so sad. AND CUTE! She was very Margot Tenenbaum, very sullen and beautiful. Now she is best friends with Chester and happy in her home.

I wanted to share some of my favorite finds this month.. from an amazing wedding photographer to a treehouse restaurant, books, a car.. in complete disregard for organization.. just wonders I have found and/or pulled onto my desktop.. I will try to reference as best I can..

Noa shares my vision to make a few of the wedding photos look like a 70's album cover. Love her shots of Astra. Love their music, too.

Trinie Dalton was already one of my favorite contemporary writers -- Wide Eyed and A Unicorn is Born are two books I read and reread and cannot bear to lend out, but give as gifts -- now she has outdone herself with this cover. Going to a Geodesic dome home in Joshua Tree for a little weekend getaway next month.. been Dome-Crazy, eyeing the likes of these..

And I go full circle with a treehouse that IS a geodesic dome found in the article The High Life from Dwell.com

House Industries has a slew of awesome products with Alexander Girard's brilliance all over the place. He is one of my favorite designers. This kitty/broccoli combo is nice. Chester went nuts for the smell of broccoli, but just kind of scattered it everywhere and didn't eat it.

The girls at Cat Party really know how to make my heart swoon. In addition to the multiple cat treasures found below, including a lion pool party and the most extensive and gorgeous collection of cat-related fashion editorials, they posted this cat diamond created by designer Eivind Søreng Molvær.

Tippi Hendren and her family hang out at the pool and around the house. With their friend Anton LaVey's LION. Just another Saturday at the Hendren's. Preteen Melanie Griffith was there, too.

50'S LIFE MAGAZINE CATS

Oh, sweet Google. You can now search historic photos from the archives of Life Magazine here. Of course I had a field day with the word "cats". Most images from the 50's included Kim Novak, the Los Angeles Cat Show, and Grandma Moses. Thank you Life Magazine for excellent cat documentation. Especially of a cat eating corn on the cob, that is SOMETHING. Good to get the shot from 3 angles, minimum!

Chester's new favorite past time is sitting in the sink. Especially when he sees me about to brush my teeth. He drinks from the faucet, cause it's just the best cat water fountain ever. Often while I am washing my face, he will wet his paw in the stream of water and wash his face simultaneously. Did someone say YouTube? 

He has been fond of cozying up in round, hard, smooth places since he was a very young boy.
