Which reminds me.. It's been a while since I've posted a 70's-deco David Palladini Aquarian card ..

Emma Kunz was tapped into her swiss design roots. I have Emma Kunz on my mind today.. "Born into a family of Swiss weavers in 1892, visionary artist Emma Kunz created mandala-like grids which she regularly used as instruments of healing. Abstract, lush, enigmatic and illusionistic, each diagram was reportedly drawn by Kunz in a single sitting." via Tomorrowland

So interesting she was born into a family of weavers .. the lines in her drawings could be threads woven together on a loom..

CAT PARTY

The girls at Cat Party really know how to make my heart swoon. In addition to the multiple cat treasures found below, including a lion pool party and the most extensive and gorgeous collection of cat-related fashion editorials, they posted this cat diamond created by designer Eivind Søreng Molvær.

Tippi Hendren and her family hang out at the pool and around the house. With their friend Anton LaVey's LION. Just another Saturday at the Hendren's. Preteen Melanie Griffith was there, too.

THE WORLD

For October I like David Palladini's graphic interpretation of: The World. Meanings: Completion. Wholeness. Fulfillment. Satisfaction. Reward. Cosmic Consciousness. Ooo la la.

AQUARIAN TAROT BY DAVID PALLADINI

I have a deck of tarot cards. I mainly bought them because they are Aquarian and I am too, and the combo of Art Deco and Art Nouveau Illustration by David Palladini from the 70's makes me swoon. I framed enlargements of my favorites. Beyond the pretty pretty pictures, I do selectively embrace some of the meanings and symbols behind them. Mostly happy colorful 70's queens and knights and lovely cups overflowing with bountiful goodness. So I'm not taroting correctly. And to continue this, I am focusing on one card today, The Magician, and enjoying the Yellow-Submarine-esque illustration in the Seven of Cups, which illustrates an active imagination.
