I wanted to share some of my favorite finds this month.. from an amazing wedding photographer to a treehouse restaurant, books, a car.. in complete disregard for organization.. just wonders I have found and/or pulled onto my desktop.. I will try to reference as best I can..

The above engagement session photos by Noa feature a lovely fellow-blogger, Emilia Jane of Auburn and Ivory ... It made my day to see she posted some of my illustrations.

Noa shares my vision to make a few of the wedding photos look like a 70's album cover. Love her shots of Astra. Love their music, too.

Trinie Dalton was already one of my favorite contemporary writers -- Wide Eyed and A Unicorn is Born are two books I read and reread and cannot bear to lend out, but give as gifts -- now she has outdone herself with this cover. An Anthology of modern writers with a wigged cat. Mythym, yes please. For sale at picture box

Going to a Geodesic dome home in Joshua Tree for a little weekend getaway next month.. been Dome-Crazy, eyeing the likes of these..

And I go full circle with a treehouse that IS a geodesic dome found in the article The High Life from Dwell.com

Or, you know, just float in a sphere among the trees.

SWEET CAKES

I really like this home-spun quirky flowery wedding cake. It looks like a person actually made it and its edible and everything once you remove the flowers and the plastic figurines. I found this (along with the makings of a giant-sized bird cake among other coolness) on Katie Byron's site through my friend Sarah Soquel Morhaim... also a super talented lady. 

ST. BARTHOLOMEW'S CHURCH

I found pictures of this church while I was searching for Verner Panton Interiors to start my Living Cat Museum moodboard. I would love to theoretically get married at St. Bartholomew's in Eastern Bohemia, but Russia did not make our list for a destination wedding, nor did I plan to have a ceremony in a church. Too bad "Join us in a celebration of our marriage in Eastern Bohemia" sounds awesome.

Czech designer Maxim Velcovsky has redesigned the interior of a church in Eastern Bohemia, using customised design classics, rugs and chandeliers. Working with designer Jakub Berdych under the Qubus Studio banner, the interior features Verner Panton chairs customised with a punched crucifix, Persian rugs and chandeliers of rough-cut crystal.
“The central nave has been stripped of dull repaints and left totally exposed so that visitors can watch the course of history on fragments and details on the wall.
“Illuminated by chandeliers adorned with pressed and roughly cut crystal, the bare space is dominated by an “army” of legendary chairs designed by Verner Panton with one crucial detail added – a Christian cross carved through the back of the chair.
